We expect a lot during our familiarization visits - especially in Providenciales, the most popular of the Turks & Caicos Islands. Through years of personal and professional visits and partnerships, the SPT team is on a first-name basis with many of the island’s top tourism officials, hotel executives and residents. You could say we know “Provo” better than most. So, when we were invited by the Turks & Caicos Collection to explore their three beachfront, all-inclusive resort on the island, we jumped at the chance!
We knew of the Blue Haven Resort, Alexandra Resort, and Beach House Turks & Caicos - and have sent many clients to each over the years. Their local representative even attended our Travel Show in March with special offers for our clients. But we needed to know more. More about their stay at one, play and dine at all three program. More about their amazing culinary options. More about how these three resorts compared to others we would see during our stay...properties like The Shore Club, Sands at Grace Bay, The Palms Turks & Caicos, Seven Stars Resort, and the amazing Turks Haven Villas - owned and operated by a friend and former travel industry partner of SPT! We also made time to visit with our friends at one of the world’s most renowned rescue puppy operations, Potcake Place - and brought them lots of puppy supplies! Blue Haven Resort
Blue Haven was our home base for our visit -and the only resort in Providenciales with both a marina and private beach. With just 45 accommodations ranging from Studio to Three-Bedroom Oceanfront, and all meals, snacks, drinks, and non-motorized water sports included there really is something for everyone here! The beach is perfect for families (bonus: kids under 12 are free) with little wake, soft warm sand, and plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas - and older kids will love the offshore water trampoline. Blue Haven was a hidden gem for our group - and would be a fantastic spot for a destination wedding, family reunion and getaway, or a simple relaxing vacation spot with little to no crowds to worry about!
Alexandra Resort
The largest of the three Turks & Caicos Collection properties, the Alexandra is your quintessential beachfront resort - on perhaps the most amazing stretch of white sand our team has even stepped foot on! From the pan-seared Mahi Mahi during your sunset dinner at Sole to the fruity drinks at the swim-up bar in the large, lagoon-style swimming pool to the snorkeling, kayaking, and tennis courts, it’s all included. There’s a spa for your relaxing treatments, WiFi is included resort-wide, and the kids club is just steps from the pool - perfect for them to play and you to relax! The 90 studios and suites are HUGE - and the Four Bedroom Oceanfront Penthouse is perfect for larger families or groups (it sleeps 12) at almost 4,000 square feet!
Beach House Turks & Caicos
There are two words that many of our vacation clients love to hear: adults-only! The Beach House is amazingly situated on Grace Bay - and a PERFECT spot for destination weddings at just 21 suites. In fact, the property is so intimate the rooms don’t have numbers, they have names and start at a whopping 1,150 square feet! Even when it is completely booked - like it was when we visited - it seems almost deserted. The Beach House has a brand-new Veuve Clicquot bar, chefs usher guests into its private hydroponic garden to select their own vegetables for dinner, and reserves all beach chairs and umbrellas on Grace Bay by room name! It was our groups favorite resort!
Overall, this was a truly amazing trip - and the Turks & Caicos Collection resorts will be seeing LOTS more of our clients in the very near future! There really was something for everyone at these three resorts - and Providenciales is such a scenic and unspoiled destination. And how could we forget our friend - and greeter/driver to most SPT clients upon their arrival in Turks & Caicos, Michael from Michael’s Taxi. He is an incredible compliment to the destination - and always takes such great care of our clients!
