Let me introduce
myself. My name is Susan B. Peavey. I own and operate Susan Peavey Travel,
Inc., a full service travel agency which specializes in arranging air
tickets for the H2B/J1 programs.
I started
arranging travel for this program 14 years ago with the first group totaling
120 travelers. I now arrange travel for over 5,000 H2B/J1 workers who
travel all over the United States.
My company
has a contract with American Airlines. I currently have the lowest guaranteed
rate for this carrier. The current rate to Boston from Jamaica on American
is $405.00 for 2009. This rate includes taxes and the agency fee. Other
rates are available upon request.
The contract
allows us to offer this rate year round with no minimum or maximum number
of people traveling together. If the flights are available and you need
a worker here tomorrow, the rate is always the same. The rate will remain
the same unless a tax is increased and we have to adjust accordingly.
There is
no differential based on the day of the week. As long as the availability
is there, we can sell the seat and issue an E-TICKET.
Our
contract is unique because you do not have to travel in any group number.
As little as ONE person may travel and receive the contract rate. All tickets
are issued as electronic tickets. An emailed confirmation will be generated
after the ticket is issued. If email is not availalbbe, a faxed copy will
be sent.
The original copy will be mailed to the property for their records. This contract is very flexible. We are allowed a return date change
for $175.00.
We
can also issue a ONE WAY ticket back to Jamaica for half of the contract
rate. This is important for the staff that are doing extensions and need
to return home on a reasonable rate.
